Meet Some Of Austin's Very Best Guides

"An Austin native, Victoria promises to give you the most authentic and entertaining Segway tour of Austin because entertainment is her business. As a recent graduate from Baylor University, Victoria obtained a BFA in Theatre Performance, so when she’s not Segging the streets of Austin’s beautiful downtown you can find her working on ground-breaking theatre and film projects. Victoria’s talents are varied, so while on tour ask her to recite some Shakespeare, or to give your tour in a Southern/British/Irish accent. Don’t worry: autographs and pictures are complementary, so book now while supplies last!"

I am a native Texan, born and raised in Fort Worth, Texas. After high school I moved to Germany, only to make the move back to the beautiful city of Austin a year later. I am currently pursuing my bachelors degree at The University of Texas in Marketing and Linguistics. When I am not hitting the books or rowing down on Lady Bird Lake, I am dedicated to providing THE MOST scintillating tour of Austin you will ever experience! My eloquence and charm (and modesty) is only matched with the most exciting and entertaining ride around Austin. So if you are looking for a fun time, vielleicht ein bisschen Deutsch reden, and some easy segway riding through Austin, ask for Sam and you won’t be disappointed!

David Sollee, aka Segcity’s songbird, is a locally grown Austin musician. He attended the University of Texas for Music Business and since coming to Austin in 2007 he has adopted it as his hometown. When not out rolling on his favorite Segway “Shieldy” he is rocking the night away on 6th street. Self-titled as the only segwaying musician who “tours” full time, David has a finger on the pulse of the local music and entertainment scene. He is your guide if you want an authentic Austin experience you’ll never forget…at least you won’t be able to forget his American Idol worthy pipes!

A proud Austinite born and raised, I ventured forth from the city of my birth to spend my young adult years tromping around Asia, eating bizarre food, petting tigers, and perfecting my Japanese. Recently returned from my adventures abroad, I’m a certified, bonafide, exemplified tour director dedicated to sharing my love of travel with each and every soul who dares set foot on a Segway. In my free time you can find me decimating the local fish population through extensive consumption of sushi, loitering outside my favorite Austintatious trailer food parks and/or craft fairs, or concocting crocheted masterpieces to share with the world. I adore showing visitors the Austin I know and love, Keeping It as Weird as possible as we motor down Congress, the wind in our helmeted hair and the sweet taste of freedom on our lips. Venture forth beside me and explore the wilds of Austin as they have never been explored before!

"Hola Amigos! Welcome to good ol’ "Sweet Austin" and the best guided tour in town… Let's cruise through this "live musical capital of the world" in style, and let me treat you to cool insights, "fun facts," a bit of Spanish, and whatever else synchronicity provides us on the ride. I cruise through this city daily, as a local and a tourist! I love to be a tourist in my own city, on a segway and on my bike. So be ready to get it all on your tour. Including insights from my second Master's degree (Humanities and Social Sciences), which I am currently working on. Cheers!”

I'm an authentic Austinite through and through, and I have a fierce determination to keep this city weird (not that it needs much help). I was born here in 1987 and I recently graduated from the University of Texas with a degree in film. Allow me to utilize my costly-acquired skills by taking breathtaking photos of you in front of historic Austin monuments whilst we balance on Segways! With the help of my banjo, I will give you an unforgettable tour of the city and entertain you with some twangy tunes along the way. I also happen to be a beer enthusiast who enjoys puns, so finding a good pub in town will be the yeast of your worries. Book a tour with me and you'll be in for a truly weird Austin experience!

Growing up in San Antonio, Texas, I was starry-eyed for a New York City university upon my high school graduation. So, landing at UT-Austin (in-state tuition! More scholarship money!), I planned to transfer after my first year. That happened 6 years and two degrees ago, as I find myself proud to call Austin home now. It is an easy city to love! It values nature and healthy living, enjoys a vibrant art and culture scene, and offers great nightlife goings-on. I hike the greenbelt and dance in the clubs as much as possible. Glad to be a guide for this fabulous city, I will show you the world (of Austin) on a magic Segway ride.

Standing tall at 5' 6", hailing all the way from Carrollton, Texas (Thats just north of Dallas for you muggles), Michael Rose is a man truly versed in the art of speaking in third person. At the age of 2, Michael's Mother and Father fittingly nicknamed him Trouble. Michael has been proud to call himself an Austinite since the day he set foot here. As a student at the University of Texas in Austin, Michael studies Aerospace Engineering by watching Top Gun at an astonishing count of 14 times a day (He cries every time when Goose dies). When he's not flying through the sky, or riding a segway, he is workin on his other greatest passion, music. As a guitarist and drummer, Michael is forced to yield his body to two seperate personalities, thus affording you two segway guides for the price of one!!! So come on down to SegCity and experience the two headed tours of Michael "Trouble" Rose!

I'm currently a sophomore at Southwestern University, studying the art of Communication with a minor in Español (Ay Ay Ay!). I'm a newly initiated member of the Delta Delta Delta sorority, and may try to recruit you. I have spent the majority of my life performing in shows, with my favorite role of course being a Segway tour guide! Born and raised in Austin, I've never lived anywhere else and love showing visitors what keeps Austin weird. From the shopping on South Congress to the dining at Italian restaurants to swimming in Barton Springs, to feeding homeless people, to singing on the street for passersby, you'll find me in many different areas of downtown. I encourage you to pretend to be the paparazzi and take pictures of me around Austin, so I can feel special and change the connotation that the name "Lindsey" currently has in the tabloids/entertainment industry.

Forged in the depths of Houston's city streets is the urban legend known as Smokin' Joe Fraser. Everywhere he goes, his reputation precedes him. He is all that is man, and all that is tour guide. When he isn't setting trends and pop/lock/dropping it, he is improvisationally setting stages ablaze at the Hideout Theatre on Congress Ave. Half of a decade in the pizza business has given him a comprehensive understanding of the symbiotic relationship between bread, tomato sauce, and cheeses of the world. Flawless, untouchable, and immaculate are the most commonly heard words when describing his skill as a karaoke commandant. So come, ride, and experience the self actualizing segway tours led by Smokin' Joe.
