Forged in the depths of Houston's city streets is the urban legend known as Smokin' Joe Fraser. Everywhere he goes, his reputation precedes him. He is all that is man, and all that is tour guide. When he isn't setting trends and pop/lock/dropping it, he is improvisationally setting stages ablaze at the Hideout Theatre on Congress Ave. Half of a decade in the pizza business has given him a comprehensive understanding of the symbiotic relationship between bread, tomato sauce, and cheeses of the world. Flawless, untouchable, and immaculate are the most commonly heard words when describing his skill as a karaoke commandant. So come, ride, and experience the self actualizing segway tours led by Smokin' Joe.

Taking you through downtown Austin on a Segway happens to be the latest addition to my Jack-Of-All-Trades hit list. It happens to be the most rewarding one, too. If you get me as a tour guide, be ready to rock n' roll! Off the Segway, some other activities on this list include: acting, making films, making music, making semi-edible food, and making you laugh (mostly at me and not with me). The making lots of money part is still in the works.

While earning my Master's of Advertising at the University of Texas, I was fortunate enough have a great job as Segway tour guide at SegCity for 2 1/2 years and am now the acting Manager. I am naturally attracted to and intrigued by people and their different personalities, backgrounds, and stories. As I have been able to teach people so much about the fascinating, and sometimes comedic, history of the majestic city of Austin, I have also gathered a great deal of knowledge from the guests on my tours. I've lived in almost all of the major cities in Texas, and can say with the utmost confidence that Austin is definitely the most unique and has the most character. Yes, you can say I am one of those people who is proud to be a Texan, and even more proud be an Austinite! |
